MAN OF THE YEAR
A great time was had by all at the run for Caumsett 5K. Thanks to all that participated.
Mike Gebhardt ran for LLS Man of the Year. Team Sunshine Daydream placed second in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year campaign with over $157,000 raised.

Yvonne Giovinco’s daughter had a son, Lorenzo George on June 10th. This is Yvonne’s first grandchild. Denise Giantasio’s son, Ryan, and his wife in Texas had a baby boy, Martin. JoAnn Aronson’s daughter, Samantha Papadopoulos, graduated Smithtown High School West. She was at the top 12pct of her class. She will attend Mt. St. Marys College in September and will be running for their cross country and track and field teams. Maria Lanzisero’s son, Nick, graduated from Huntington High School and will attend Binghamton in the fall. He graduates as the captain of the Blue Devil Football Team, President of Young Leaders and Key Drive Leader of Robotics team. He received many awards as well! Donna Spinoso’s son, Matt Gelb graduated Huntington High School and will attend Johnson and Whales in the fall. Ian McLeod, son of Babylon agent Lesley Longmcleod, has joined the Navy and is currently attending Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI. After Commissioning in July, he will be stationed at NAS Pensacola as a Navy Flight Officer for at least 12-18 months. Peter Morris’ Daughter, Daniella, graduated from Cold Spring Harbor High School and will attend the University of Delaware in the fall. Melanie Karakatsanis’s son, Christian, graduated from Hofstra as a math major and her other son Nicholas, graduated from Nassau and will be starting Baruch in the fall. Kathleen P. Murphy’s daughter, Gabrielle, and her fiancé Andy got engaged.

Karen Petriano won a sweet bike at the MLS tech fair! Yona Miller’s daughter, Dr. Daniella Miller, a Pediatric Neurologist, graduated from her fellowship in Epilepsy at LSU Hospital in New Orleans. On June 8th her son & daughter in law blessed her with her first grandchild Nicolas Vincent. Michele Rogers’, daughter aced her exam for a position with the LIRR. Janet Ciafardoni’s daughter, Carolyn Ciafardoni, graduated from Northport High School and will be attending FIT in NYC for Interior Design in the Fall. Jennifer Monahan’s, son, Daniel, graduated from St. Anthony’s High School and is headed to the University of Michigan - Ross School of Business in the Fall. Her stepson, Luke, graduated from Appoquinimink High School in Delaware and will be a Freshman at the University of Delaware this fall. Kim Flanagan’s boys are graduating High School from Floral Park. Liam is going to Wesley College in Delaware and Kyle is leaving for boot camp in Parris Island on August 28th, he received The United States Marine Corp Distinguished Athlete Award during the HS awards night. Steve Hess read stories and did an art project for four classes at his grand daughter’s Preschool. The kids loved it and all call him “Poppa Steve”! In June, Andrea D’Eloia (along with members of the Huntington Chamber Choir), performed as part of the National Festival Chorus at Carnegie Hall in NYC. The concert was directed by Z. Randall Stroope, composer, who has written over 160 musical pieces. The concert was hosted by Manhattan Concert Productions. 5
