Write for Rights Amnesty International’s Write for Rights Campaign will be held in Skerjakolla in Kópasker on Friday, December 14th, from 14:00-17:00. People can sign ready-made action letters for those individuals and groups whose basic human rights are being attacked, and therefore to create pressure on responsible authorities for amelioration. Write for Rights is effective, for every year there are real changes in the lives of victims of human rights violations. Falsely imprisoned people are released. Torturers and tormentors are standing trials, and people in prisons receive humane treatment. It may be easy for governments to ignore one letter; but when they receive millions of letters, they are difficult to ignore. The letters get results! The letters save lives!
