Over the years Garry has also been featured in programmes and articles including: Caroline Quentin’s, National Parks on ITV3, BBC2’s One Man and His Camper Van with Martin Dorey; ITV’s Countrywise Kitchen, The Hungry Sailors with Dick and James Strawbridge and Jeni Barnett’s Great Food Live as well as features in the Daily Mail. He has also gathered food for leading chefs including Rick Stein, Mark Hix and Angela Hartnett as well as Lime Wood’s head chef Luke Holder and THE PIG’s James Golding.
Chef James Golding grew up on the south coast of England and spent his childhood weekends foraging with his dad. His professional career began when he was just 16 when he entered the Académie de Culinaire de France, founded by Albert Roux and Richard Shepherd. He went on to work in some of the UK’s most prestigious kitchens including: The Savoy, Le Caprice and J Sheekey. These were followed by a stint in New York’s exclusive Soho House as head chef and he was one of its chefs serving their exclusive Hollywood Oscars party. But James’ heart remained in his home county so, as a new dad he brought his family home and now enjoys days with his wife and own kids foraging in the forests, hedgerows and foreshores of his youth. James is currently the chef director of THE PIG hotels.

Garry Eveleigh has always been fascinated with foraging all things edible. He grew up in the New Forest and as a lad he often felt more at home in Nature’s classroom than under the direction of his headmistress. Today, Garry forages professionally for Lime Wood and THE PIG hotels, providing their chefs with the freshest and most seasonal ingredients. He takes guests out for foraging walks and enjoys sharing his unique and deep knowledge. On returning from a morning in the forest, guests are delighted by the chefs creating dishes with their freshly gathered bounty.

Finn Garry’s ever-present companion is an expert in the forest, hedgerows and foreshores in his own right. Wherever Garry is, Finn is sure to be happily exploring alongside him.
