Let your skin bloom. With personalized attention and professional knowhow, you can add health, comfort, and function to your skincare routine. Just ask Hollie Muther, owner of Bloom a Skincare Studio. In business since 2018, Muther has transformed her love for esthetics by offering medical-grade facials, dermaplaning, microdermabrasions, oxygen facials, chemical peels, facial waxing, lash lifting and tinting, and more.

Each service is adapted to your skin and preferences. Muther adds that she always recommends starting with the basics. This is for two reasons. One, so she can get to know your skin. And two, so you can see how your skin reacts in the days to come.

Muther isn’t your typical esthetician. She checks in on her clients to see how their skin is behaving after treatments, and takes detailed notes so she can learn more about each patient. “I would never do anything aggressive on skin that I don’t know very well,” she explains.

And her clients love her methods, getting personalized spa attention and an incredible dose of relaxation. Client Erika L. says, “Hollie is seriously beyond amazing! She walks you through everything and makes sure to teach you about how to continue keeping healthy, beautiful skin. I definitely recommend her to anyone wanting beautiful glowing skin!”

Muther is always excited to see—and serve—new faces. “I always recommend a new client come in for a consultation. When it comes to facials, one size doesn’t fit all. Everyone has different skin types and different needs. By offering medical-grade facials, Muther helps combat issues like acne, hyperpigmentation, and loss of

collagen. Serving clients from 12 to 90 years old, including men and women alike, she says she often “cocktails together whatever I need to for my clients for their skin needs.”

The studio also hosts additional professionals, including a nurse who offers injectables, such as Botox and fillers. Bloom offers a unique mix of boutique offerings, including Muther’s favorite things. Not only can clients stock up on their favorite skincare items, they can shop goodies like jewelry, décor, handmade bags, and more.

“It’s little unique things like these that you can’t find in mass market,” Muther says. “It’s a reflection of my tastes, what works for me, and what I want to offer to others.” Muther and her contractors offer monthly specials, allowing visitors to try out new services and save while doing it.

FALLING IN LOVE WITH SKINCARE Opening her skincare spa was a goal for Muther, and perhaps one she didn’t know she had until later in life. After years as a photographer, with grown children out of the house, she was ready for a new chapter. She started working as a nursing assistant, then fell in love with the idea of proper skincare and helping others achieve that goal.

“I kind of looked at it as this is something I want and I was really devoted,” she explains. “When you get out of high school you just go to college. It’s just what you do. Going back to school at a later age made me appreciate it more.”

A few years later, she’s created a successful business, helped countless clients, and is on her way to an expansion. Bloom is growing, adding new sections of the spa. These will open early this summer, including new skincare and wellness services.

“I was scared to try,” she says. “But I didn’t want that to stop me. I was at a point where I said I have to try it, and now here I am.”

“I definitely recommend Bloom to anyone wanting beautiful, glowing skin!”
