Fun in the Sun Guide to Staying Active in Summer 2023

With warmer temperatures come more sporting events and activities! Here is a guide to all things sports-related in the Washington D.C. and Annapolis area.

It’s soccer season! The DC United professional soccer team will be having games at Audi Field in D.C. all throughout the summer. Tickets can be purchased via Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, and StubHub; as well as streaming is available via Apple TV + subscription.

The annual USSS v. FBI Lacrosse charity game will be taking place on May 20th at the St. Mary’s High School Stadium. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite using this link.

If soccer and lacrosse are less of your style, don’t worry as golfing season has also arrived! There are numerous golfing tournaments being held around the D.C. and Annapolis area. One of the best parts about these tournaments is that you can also participate. Maybe you’ve been practicing and want to show off your skills on course. Chapter of Iota Phi Theta are all hosting golfing tournaments around the area this upcoming summer. The Beta Phi Omega golfing opportunity doubles as a scholarship fundraiser, so it’s a perfect combination to get involved and give back.

There is also a chance for adults to get involved in flag football this summer and for the upcoming Fall and Spring seasons.
