Lin lives in the village.
Life is hard.
He has no meat.
Lin goes to the shop.
“Rice please,” Lin says.
“No rice today. Maybe tomorrow,” the shopkeeper says.
Lin goes to the forest.
He takes the bark off trees.
He boils the bark.
He eats the bark.
Yuan is the rice man.
He searches China for better rice.
He searches China for stronger rice.
He finds better rice in Hainan.
Farmers plant the Hainan rice.
The rice grows strong and tall
Lin goes to the shop.
“Rice please,” Lin says.
The shopkeeper smiles.
The shopkeeper has rice for Lin.
