‘Marry me?’ Jalil says. ‘Yes,’ Katie says.

The sun hides behind the clouds. The birds fly away.
Mahmud brings Jalil a cup of tea.
‘Are we alone?’ Jalil says. ‘Mother and father are out,’ Mahmud says.
‘Katie wants a big wedding,’ Jalil says. ‘A big church wedding.’
Jalil and Katie have a big church wedding.
Katie’s family come to the wedding. Katie’s friends come to the wedding.
