Dear Friends of Simpson College: Thank you for taking this opportunity to review the Simpson College Annual Report. As you will soon see, your support ensured a successful year for Simpson. The Annual Fund realized a 5.11 percent increase over the previous year. That figure was boosted in part by alumni gifts to the College, which totaled $443,431.58, the highest figure since 2008 and the third highest figure since 1990. These figures would not have been possible without the generous support you and so many others extended to Simpson. Members of the Advancement staff, along with student callers, volunteers, alumni, faculty and staff also deserve considerable credit for this accomplishment. In the last twelve months, that department restructured and has benefited from the work of an unusually talented staff. Indeed, their efforts, coupled with your generosity, resulted in total giving to the College of more than $6.1 million. Over the past year, I have enjoyed opportunities to meet many of you and look forward to becoming acquainted with more of you in the year ahead. On behalf of all of us at Simpson, please accept our sincere thanks for your beneficence and support. The Presidents’ Society The Presidents’ Society was established to recognize the exemplary financial leadership of those individuals who contribute $1,000 or more in support of The Simpson Fund during a fiscal year. The gifts generated from this group make up an impressive portion of Simpson’s overall annual giving.
