Our Ongoing Commitment to
A Strong Voice on Your Behalf Advocacy
The Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce monitors issues at every level of government. We are the voice for the business community so that you can focus on your business.
Chamber staff attend every meeting of the Sioux Falls City Council, Minnehaha County Commission, and Sioux Falls School Board. We have a lobbyist in Pierre throughout the entire state legislative session each year. And we are in regular communication with South Dakota’s federal delegation in Washington, D.C. The Chamber keeps open lines of communication with our elected officials.
To keep you informed, we produce:
• The Legislative Annual Report recapping our advocacy work during the state legislative session.
• A Legislative Scorecard showing how local lawmakers voted on issues of importance to Chamber members.
• The Legislative Bill Tracker monitoring bills that may affect Chamber members.
• Issue Briefs containing clear, objective information on current issues.
We engage on policy issues on behalf of the entire business community. We work to maintain a business-friendly climate so that your business can flourish.
