Premier baby spa & wellness studio opens in South Sioux Falls

Parents and their babies have an amazing new resource for support and education in Sioux Falls. Owner Laura Hanson, Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM) along with her daughter Liz Aragon, CEIM at Your Nurtured Baby provide unique expertise that brings natural tools for common problems that many babies and their parents experience.

Laura decided to become certified in infant massage after experiencing challenges with her daughter Mara. “My two-yearold daughter was born with Down syndrome and a heart defect. While we were waiting for heart surgery, I came across an infant massage and thought it might be able to help her with her low muscle tone, low weight, and poor appetite. We couldn’t find anyone in the Sioux Falls area who taught it, so we took it upon ourselves to get certified and bring it to local families.”

For the past year, Laura and Liz have been providing private training and support for families in their homes. Today, they operate out of a bright and welcoming spa/store where they provide education and therapies as well as baby clothing, essentials, bath items, toys, teethers, gifts, home items, and all-natural products for babies and moms. The vibrantly happy and soothing space offers an excellent stress-free environment for babies and parents to learn in and relax.

Laura shares, “Infant massage and water movement are great ways to help baby with gas, colic, and reflux; decreased appetite and sleep, and to simply relax. Babies experience stress just like parents do! In addition, these are amazing experiences to help baby bond and engage with parents.” She continues, “This helps families who’ve recently adopted their baby, new moms experiencing post-partum depression, and dads who want to build on their confidence in parenting. We also see that parents meet others in the same or similar parenting stage as they are. We love seeing parents exchange stories, advice, and laughs in our space!”

In addition to being certified in infant massage, Laura and Liz are Newborn Care Specialists and Certified in CPR and First Aid.
