Velvet and satin and sequins–oh my! Who says semi-casual party picks can’t also be fabulous? A sequined top paired with a solid color bottom, be it skirt or pants, adds the flair to what may have been an otherwise vanilla outfit. If you’re feeling extra fab grab something in velvet – a velvet skirt is all the rage. Fear not the cold, for a trendy party pick will always be woolen tights. If those aren’t warm enough or you’d rather opt for a sheer pantyhose look, a life-hack to try is nude-colored insulated leggings underneath–no one will be the wiser and you’ll be staying warm!

This holiday season we’re seeing a bit of a deviation from the familiar reds-andblacks trend. While those colors are still totally chic and in, try splashing in bold dark blue or navy. Dress, sweater, or blazer, blue is in and will keep you cozy while looking cool. Finally, don’t forget to accessorize! Classic gold jewelry is a must, and we’re seeing a resurgence again in pearls, so don’t fear decking yourself out. Pointy-toed shoes are also very chic, whether it be flats or heels. Try a knee or thigh-high boot with a skirt or dress, you’ll be guaranteed to look like you’ve got legs for days.
