Fluttery Lashes

While trends last year leaned toward extending the length of the eye via the popular “Fox Eye” style of eyeliner and lashes increasing in size toward the outer ends of your eye, this year we’re going for something softer, rounder, and much gentler: the Fluttery Lashes.

Fluttery eyelashes are full and soft, with their peak at the fullest point of the center of the eye. These lashes are also long, making them ideal for their namesake, as they flutter rather effortlessly when blinking. Popular for their good-natured and friendly doeeyed look, this lash style is perfect for any setting, casual or formal. This look can be accomplished fairly easily if you go by route of false lashes, seeking ones that have a good mix of long pieces with shorter, fuller pieces in-between. It can also be achieved by seeking out mascaras that are a mixture of both lengthening and thickening—these types of mascara typically come with a wand and a brush that is wider on either end and tapered into a slightly shorter center.
