A locally owned pet store offering natural pet products

Pet Wants is a franchise locally owned and operated by Melissa Brandner-Otten. “We started as a pop-up shop selling products mainly at local vendor shows,” shares Melissa. “As our business grew, we realized we needed a retail location to better serve our customers, so we opened our retail location in Tea, SD in November of 2020.” A short year later, Pet Wants moved to its permanent location at 85th and Louise in Sioux Falls.

Unlike other pet stores in town, Pet Wants does not allow products that contain corn, soy, wheat by-products, artificial colors, or artificial flavors. By keeping these rules consistent for all of the products in the store, pet owners can trust that there are no bad options available. Pet Wants’ food is made fresh every 6 weeks through a method of slow cooking at low temperatures to lock in nutrients and keep it fresh for your pets. The natural quality products they offer are not limited to just pet food, they also offer Spaw products made in-house using natural ingredients and essential oils. The best part about the Spaw products is that they are safe to use for dogs, cats, yourself, and even your kids!

When shopping at Pet Wants you will be greeted by a knowledgeable staff that is happy to help pet owners find food and products that will fit their pets’ needs. They have a large selection of food, treats, chews, Spaw products, supplements, toys, and more. Customers who live within 15 miles of Sioux Falls can get free delivery with online orders over $20. “We are very passionate about sticking to allnatural products and helping pet owners in our community give their pets the best life possible. Our pets give us unending love, the least we could do is thank them by providing a healthy diet!” shares Melissa.
