GREAT PLAINS ZOO PREPARES FOR ITS THREE-DAY HALLOWEEN EXTRAVAGANZA

ZooBoo kicks off an active fall and winter season

It’s seasonal fun for those who want more treats than tricks during the ZooBoo at the Great Plains Zoo Friday, October 28 – Sunday, October 30. It all begins Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The zoo will have lots of lights and decorations along with the Trick or Treat Train and Creepy Carousel. Sensory Saturday from 9 – 10 a.m. offers a quieter experience for families with special sensory needs. Regular ZooBoo kicks off at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and again on Sunday. “Community involvement is always an important part of ZooBoo,” says Denise DePaolo, Director of PR and Engagement at the Great Plains Zoo and Delbridge Museum of Natural History. “This year we are welcoming many first-time ZooBoo business participants,” she says. “We will be having a table decorating contest for business participants with prizes including the Zookeeper’s Choice, People’s Choice, Creepy Creativity, and Spooky Sustainability. There is also a People’s Choice Award.” “This year’s ZooBoo will be nothing short of fun! Our goal for 2022 is making the most inclusive, community-oriented ZooBoo ever!” Denise says. Tickets are $5 for zoo members and $15 for non-members. Patrons are encouraged to buy their tickets online. “The ZooBoo will also kick off the zoo’s fall and winter season,” Denise notes. “We want everyone to know the zoo will be open year-round.” For more information and tickets got to: GreatZoo.org/Events/ZooBoo. Tickets will be on sale October 1.

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord.

– Jeremiah 29:11-14
