3 Tips to Eating Healthier that will Change Your Life

Tip 1: Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water daily.
If you drink caffeinated beverages you need to replace the amount of the beverage with the same amount of water. Even if it’s tea, if’s if caffeinated tea it’s also going to cause dehydration because it’s a diuretic.
Tip: 2 Eat your greens.
Eat at least 2 cups of greens a day. Some great ones are kale, spinach, broccoli, swiss chard, or what whatever kind of dark green that might be your favorite. Remember if you are eating a salad to get a lower calorie vinaigrette and measure out your serving which is usually 2 tablespoons.

Tip: 3 Limit your intake of prepackaged foods.
What do I mean by this? You already know that cookies, cakes, pies, potato chips and the like are not good for you. But I’m also talking about crackers and health food bars (may have lots of hidden sugars) that are pre-packaged. Most of the pre packaged foods are in the center isles. That’s why it’s important to shop the perimeter where the fruits and veggies are for about 80-90% of your food!
