une 27, 2021, is National HIV Testing Day. This day is set aside to support the CDC’s campaign called “My Test, My Way.” Did you know that over 1.2 million people in the United States alone have HIV? HIV is mainly transmitted through sex and can be passed on to unborn children. The best prevention for HIV is using protection. HIV symptoms can start like flu symptoms. For this reason, it is important to know your status to begin treatment immediately. While there is no cure for HIV, learning to live with this virus is crucial to long-term health.
