Zighy Savings Time At 01:00 on Sunday, 11th March we observed “Zighy Savings Time” and set back our clocks to rejoin the UAE/Oman Time Zone, foregoing “Zighy Time.” Guillaume de Lasteyrie, Executive Assistant Manager stated, “This change is in reaction to local and international guest feedback. Many of our guests come to us because it is a convenient drive or flight from home. The extra hour was often confusing.” Zighy Bay observes GMT +4:00.

3, 2, 1, Lights Out! Earth Hour In Zighy Bay On Saturday, 31st March all of the Zee Bees and guests celebrated the largest international voluntary conservation activity by turning out all lights from 20:30 – 21:30. We joined the Environment Society of Oman, the Royal Opera House of Muscat, the Burj Khalifa and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to raise awareness of global climate change. Guests learned how to purify water through solar cooking; cleaned neighbouring bays al Haffa and Sanat, dined on local and low-carbonprepared offerings, illuminated the beach with homemade elephant dung paper lanterns, and celebrated the occasion with flaming arrows. Each month during the full moon, Six Senses Zighy Bay celebrates again, turning off lights for the hour and offering full moon kayak, meditation or yoga and the popular Dining in the Dark at Sense on the Edge.
