INTRODUCTION

MAKING EVERY STITCH COUNT There’s nothing quite like wrapping yourself up in a knit blanket. It’s warm and soft, and you can feel the joy and care that went into creating every single stitch. Requiring more time to make than a hat or scarf, knit blankets are true labors of love that often become cherished heirlooms enjoyed by generations. There’s no doubt that knit blankets are truly special, but they are made even more so when created using the vibrant colorways of Noro yarns. Combining the most popular blankets from Noro magazine with several brand new and exclusive designs, this collection of 25 knit blankets has something for every preference and skill level. From simple textures to graphic intarsia, from super bulky to airy lace, from single-piece blankets to modular projects that can be easily knit while on the go, these projects are diverse, unique, and always fun to make. Whether you prefer high-contrast self-striping colorways or more subdued tonal shifts, there is no wrong way to display a Noro blanket. Drape it across the back of a sofa, place it neatly folded in a chair, or toss it across a bed. The colors are sure to brighten your home and bring warm smiles to everyone who sees them.

* GUIDELINES ONLY: The above reflect the most commonly used gauges and needle or hook sizes for specific yarn categories. ** Lace weight yarns are usually knitted or crocheted on larger needles and hooks to create lacy, openwork patterns. Accordingly, a gauge range is difficult to determine. Always follow the gauge stated in your pattern. *** Steel crochet hooks are sized differently from regular hooks—the higher the number, the smaller the hook, which is the reverse of regular hook sizing This Standards & Guidelines booklet and downloadable symbol artwork are available at:
