PROCESS DESCRITION: Due to the plant stand is consisting by 10 pairs of bamboo sticks where is an equilateral shape. Therefore, the measurement of the length and the angle of joining point of the plant stand only needs to be taken by once. I used a measuring tape to measure the height and used the protractor to measure the angle of the bottom joint. The height (or the length) of each bamboo stick is 120cm, and the angle on the bottom joint is 30degrees.

Analysis
First of all, I draw a straight line with 120cm long, then use the function of ‘polar array’ to copy 9 more straight lines but in different angles where the lines and angles are equalled to each other. Then I draw a circle with a diameter of 195cm in the center of these lines. The above actions are all in the ground level in Rhino. Therefore, the intersection of lines and the circle is where the joining point for two bamboo sticks.

Analysis Then I started to draw two 120cm straight lines and make the angle in between is 30 degrees in x-axis and z-axis where I have measured the real one before. At this stage, the angle between this shape and the ground is 90 degrees, and I rotate the two lines into 35.52 degrees that above the groud. Then, I move the two lines join to the intersection of the circle and the straight line. The calculation of the angle of the two lines and the gound is to use the circular functions: cos(x)=97.5/120, x = 0.62
62/100 = xπ/180 x = 35.52
Therefore, I copy and paste 9 more times of those two lines, and join them with the intersection of the circle and the straight line, the plant stand is formed.
