Sedro-Woolley cherishes its businesses, both new and old, including longstanding businesses such as the OliverHammer Clothes Shop that celebrated its 100-year anniversary in 2021. New businesses in the last year include Integrity Stonework, e Garage Café (owned by Shelley’s Shack), e Depot at West Sedro Station, Willows & yme, and Wild Tee’s by D. In addition, Schaffner Pharmacy moved into downtown and added Apothecary Coffee, e Old Timers has new owners, and there is a Starbucks and WECU on the highway. e Port of Skagit is leading in cultivating the value-added agriculture opportunities available to Skagit County. ere are currently 20 agriculture or value-added agriculture businesses located on Port property, with more opportunities for growth and expansion on the way. Cascades Job Corps Center
Located at the SWIFT Center outside of Sedro-Woolley, WA, the Cascades Job Corps Center offers tuition-free training in healthcare, information technology, security and protective services, culinary arts, and office administration programs to 300 youth, mostly from Washington, Oregon and Idaho. It is a residential program and the students must be between the ages of 16 and 24 and meet eligibility requirements. Job Corps also provides housing, meals, basic medical care, a living allowance, GED, high school diploma, hands-on training, and preparation for a career or higher education.
