Founded in 1914, the Sedro-Woolley Chamber of Commerce works hard to fulfill its mission: “Partnering with the community to promote business,” and its vision: “Establish partnerships and communication with the City, Businesses, and the Community.” e chamber is proud to have great membership that includes retailers, wholesalers, service industries, manufacturers, industrial parks, banks, churches, nonprofit organizations, and individuals.

Blast from the Past Weekend: June 2, 3, 4, 2023

Please join us as we jump back to groovy 1973 (50 years ago) with music, cars, and kids’ activities. Enjoy live music: there will be three bands a day! Friday, noon - 8 p.m.:

Downtown business employees dress up in vintage clothes and judges from the SedroWoolley Chamber of Commerce will choose winners based on their resemblance to the 1973 theme. Winners will have their name and picture posted to the event’s Facebook page.

Blast of Color 5K Family Fun Run/Walk, sponsored by PNW Charm, LLC and the Riverside Health Club Sedro-Woolley: e lineup will start across the street from Sedro 10 at Cascade Trail at 10 a.m. for anyone who still needs to register.

Pre-registered runners should arrive at 10:30 a.m. to pick up their packets. e run/ walk starts at 11 a.m.

Sedro-Woolley, the Classic Car Show will be held from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Don’t miss the celebrity guest appearance from the History Channel’s Counting Cars show! Onsite registration begins at 7 a.m. e cars will line up on Woodworth between Murdock and Eastern streets.

Children’s Halloween Parade: October 31, 2023

e 2023 Children’s Halloween Parade will be held Tuesday, October 31 at 4:30 p.m.; it starts in the parking lot just south of the old Wells Fargo Bank (People’s Bank coming) and heads north to Ferry Street. After the parade, kids walk back down the sidewalks to trick-or-treat participating merchants.

Sedro-Woolley Christmas Events: December 2, 2023

Sedro-Woolley will celebrate the joy of Christmas with the theme: Old Fashioned Country Christmas. On the first Saturday of December – December 2, 2023 - Metcalf Street will be shut down at 1 p.m. with events starting at 2 p.m. For more information visit www.sedro-woolley.com.

2 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.:

Kids activities and entertainment, sponsored by local merchants.

5 p.m.: e tree lighting ceremony takes place in the town center on Metcalf and Woodworth streets. A child will be chosen to flick the ceremonial tree lights switch.

Once the tree is lit, the Lighted Christmas Parade begins. e parade lines up by Lemley Chapel led by a well-lit fire engine, followed by 30 to 40 entries and wraps up with a visit with Santa. e parade line-up walks down Metcalf, turns right on Ferry, right on Murdock, right on State, then left on ird and back to Lemley Chapel. Bring hand-warmers and dress for the cold. ere will be cash prizes for parade winners.

Right after the parade kids can meet Santa. Location TBD. Hot beverages will be available.

Santa Breakfast: December 9, 2023

e Santa Breakfast is held on the second Saturday of December – December 9, 2023 - at the Community Center (703 Pacific Street) from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

e breakfast is hosted by Beta Sigma Phi and generously sponsored by community businesses; money raised goes to support community kids’ activities. Free for kids, adults by donation. Kids get a visit with Santa and parents are free to take pictures of their kids with Santa. Sedro-Woolley Beyond the Bloom: April 2024

A sanctioned Tulip Festival event, Sedro-Woolley honors its logging history and tech future with a carving showcase and technology exhibits in Sedro-Woolley. Please contact the Chamber of Commerce for more information.

Kids’ Fishing Derby: May 4, 2024

Sponsored by e Wildcat Steelhead Club the first Saturday of May, the Kids’ Fishing Derby is open to all kids 14 and under at Northern State Pond. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the derby runs from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. Bring your bait and fishing gear! Prizes will be awarded! Please carpool due to very limited parking.
