he Sedro-Woolley School District is the second largest district in Skagit County but is the best in the universe according to local opinion.
With seven elementary schools serving a 395-square foot area (one of the largest geographical districts in the state), every corner is served by the hardest working staff one could ask for. From bus drivers and monitors who ensure safe transportation to and from school every day, to crossing guards keeping students safe to and from school, to paraprofessionals, occupational/physical/speech therapists, multilingual specialists who serve the special needs of qualifying students, the district cares deeply about the whole child. Our incredible teachers teach a wide range of subjects Preschool through 12th grade, making sure every Sedro-Woolley student receives services that helps them succeed in life.
Big Lake Elementary School
As a smaller school, Big Lake is known for working closely with families to support student success. A very supportive parent group allows Big Lake to provide a variety of opportunities for students throughout the year, including a Lego Robotics Club. The school’s library is full of adventure, including popular novels, series, and mystery!
Central Elementary School As one of three large, intown schools, Central is home to the district’s Highly Capable Program. With a focus on Project-Based Learning, student engagement is a priority. Central also has the district’s elementary self-contained behavior (EBD) program as well as the newest Foundations Kindergarten classroom.

The VISIONS Program in Clear Lake offers an exceptional educational experience for children, grades 1-6, through generous parental involvement. The school is highly involved and supported by Clear Lake businesses and community. Clear Lake is a small school with amazing, highly qualified, and supportive staff.
