The contractor is asking how the single 22" and 70" touch screen monitors in the conferences room fit into the equation and how will they be used. A. The 70" display is for bldg. 14024, if you look at the drawings it is depicted as 80" Display, right side wall facing the VTC Suit. The 22" touch Panel mentioned is for BDE HQ bldg. 14010 conference Rm. Also see look at the drawing, computer input and touch panel for the Chairperson.
Q. The contractor wants to know what can be reused, example clocks, LED signs, etc. A. Nothing is going to be reused. We want all new equipment. We are currently re-drafting the PWS.
Q. Does ISDN have to be maintained? A. No ISDN, Fort Hood and rest of the Army no longer uses ISDN connection Q. The contractors requires a configuration layouts and/or drawings of how you want each conference room setup. A. You have the drawings. Same as what it attached. Q. Does the contract call for three displays or two since each conference room already had a projector in it? A. 2 displays for bldg. 14010 and 3 displays for 14024. Once again all previous equipment will not be reuse. Q. Does all the chairs need to be of the same model, color, size, etc? A. Yes, all chairs has to be same color and Size, model we can adjust, depending on cost. We will stay with the 40 each high back, black leather swivel chairs is mentioned in the Solicitation. Q. Do you need the contractor to move fiber or copper, because of the location of the SIPRNet box in bldg. 14024 ? A. No, fiber or copper will be moved. Q. The PWS says maintain Freeport parts, however the contractor said they did not see any Freeport parts, please provide location of the Freeport parts. A. PWS is being re-drafted to remove using any previous equipment.
Q. In the PWS 1.6.9.1 Required Skill Sets and Certifications; it says Harmon AMX certified Programmer and so on. Please specify in detail? A. We do not require a specific certification, as long as vendor/installer are skilled in their field or are being supervised by certified Technician.
