People In The Mining Industry Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. announced that Andy Eidson, Senior Vice President for Strategy and Business Development, will assume additional duties as the CFO. Mr. Eidson, who has served in his current position since December 2015 and in other positions with Alpha since 2010, will join Alpha's Management Committee in the expanded role of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Eidson previously served as Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions at Alpha. Nevada Energy Metals appointed J. Malcolm Bell to the Advisory Board and as lead consultant for Project Acquisitions. Mr. Bell has over 45 years of resource industry experience either as principal, director, or senior officer of private and public companies. In 1980, he founded HiTec Resource Management Ltd., a successful minerals exploration company providing geological services in Canada, the USA and South America. In 1986, he founded the International Investment and Business Opportunities Exposition, the first investment trade show company in Canada providing private and public companies the opportunity to showcase themselves to an international audience. The Board of Directors of the Iron Mining Association announced the appointment of Kelsey Johnson as the new president of the IMA. Johnson will report to the IMA Board of Directors and Board Chairman Larry Sutherland. Johnson takes the role in place of previous IMA President Craig Pagel, who announced his retirement earlier this year and has been a champion for iron mining policies for more than nine years.
