More than 100 golfers teed off on August 22, 2013 at the Quilchena Golf and Country Club for the YVR for Kids annual golf tournament. The festivities continued late into the evening at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport for the annual YVR for Kids gala dinner and auction. Proudly sponsored by YVR, this annual golf tournament, gala dinner and auction brings together the greater airport community to raise funds for local children’s charities. Over the past two decades, this event has raised more
than $3.2-million for children’s charities in the Lower Mainland. The 2013 event raised more than $250,000 and highlights included a golf tournament at the beautifully maintained Quilchena Golf and Country Club in Richmond, live entertainment throughout the evening, highly sought after auction items and the appearance of honourary patron, B.C.-born Pamela Anderson, former Baywatch TV star (pictured below with YVR President and CEO Craig Richmond).
