The world recently celebrated 100 days until the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015, with the premier football event set to kick off on June 6, 2015 from coast to coast across Canada. To mark the milestone, host cities across Canada, including Vancouver, organized special events to showcase what will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Canadians, 23 visiting nations and FIFA fans from
around the world. The events on February 26, 2015 also coincided with the official onsale date for individual tickets. In Vancouver, the countdown started at YVR with an exciting in-terminal activation and a FIFA countdown clock unveiling. The FIFA countdown clock is currently on display across from the U.S. check-in counters at YVR. The countdown event at YVR included speeches from
tournament representatives and performances by Taiko drummers and soccer freestylers. Fans also had the opportunity to sample some cupcakes and fun giveaways. The FIFA Women’s World Cup mascot Shuéme was also on hand to celebrate at YVR, and after the morning event went on tour via the Canada Line greeting passengers along the way. See FIFA WOMEN’S page 3

Vancouver Airport Authority recently signed a formal agreement with Shanghai Pudong International Airport Cargo Terminal Co., designed to stimulate the cold supply chain helping to move more perishable goods between the two gateways. “Our mission at YVR is to connect British Columbia proudly to the world,” said
Craig Richmond, president and CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority. “We hope that this is the beginning of many agreements we will collaborate on together to share key information that helps improve travel efficiency for cargo between Vancouver and Shanghai and ultimately world markets.” See SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL page 2
