was a Biotechnology major interning in the SLCC InnovaBio lab when she started to feel her professors’ positive pressure to get more involved in her college experience. She was inspired to join clubs and perform service through the Thayne Center for Student Life, Leadership and Community Engagement. Her efforts were gratifying and, in addition, earned her recognition and awards.
