Motivation Letter This letter is being written in an interest to once again serve our beloved SLEMSA, but this time, in the capacity of Vice President. Being an astute Slemsian, a meticulous individual and having served in the position of Director of Registration and Logistics Officer respectively in the 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 SLEMSA NGA, I am looking at serving our beloved SLEMSA in a much bigger capacity. I feel that I would be a perfect fit and would bring a great personality and attention to details, qualities needed by a president's deputy. The following is a summary of the many qualities that I can offer to The Sierra Leone Medical Students' Association: Being an individual that is able to convince people through logical, emotional, or cooperative appeals, it is but the responsibility of an effective leader to be able to influence the people being led. We have to let our fellow Slemsians believe what we do by our actions. I am known to be a creative individual. Living in a tech-driven world, we have to think outside the box to give SLEMSA a more co-temporary appeal. Trust- As students of the only medical school in Sierra Leone, we know our every strength and weaknesses. One thing you can bank on the next set of SLEMSA leaders if I am made VP is a sector of trustworthiness. Having a commanding respect for the team concept, I bring that and more. Because of this and my dedicated work ethic, I can bring a breath of fresh air to the next cohort of leaders in SLEMSA.

Integrity and Trust
Dwight D. Eisenhower once said "The supreme quality for leadership is
unquestionably integrity. Without it, no real success is possible, whether it is on a section gang, a football field, in an army, or in an office." It is no secret that the SLEMSA membership has somewhat lost trust in their leaders in recent years. People have been saying one thing and act in the contrary. It's about time we restore that trust we have lost in our leaders. But this would only happen if we have an association led by people not forming factions to mismanage our resources but those doing the right thing when no one is around. SLEMSA at this point is in need of individuals who cultivate a good reputation, are consistent and hold themselves to a high moral standardqualities which
Professionalism and Innovation Professionalism and leadership are like two sides of the same coin. To be a god leader, one has to act in a manner that’s in the best interest of the association: being efficient, keeping a steady focus, and separating one's personal life from tasks to be done. I personally think the lack in professionalism in most of our leaders has led to inefficiency. Compromise has no place in leadership. I am the no-nonsense type and that is evactly what SLEMSA needs at this point. It's 2021 and we hve to act in accord. We live in a world driven by technology and innovation. If we say SLEMSA is a body of IFMSA, we need a lot to show for it- with technology playing a major role.
Capacity Building
It is not about organizing events and meetings, it is about having gatherings and meetings that would be beneficial to the SLEMSA membership. Standing Committees are a primary focus i this mandate of mine. Monitoring their activities, ensuring they do all programmes in line with the IFMSA standards.
Coordination
It is my role to be chairing SLEMSA meetings in the absence of the President; assisting the President with the oversight of the association including fundraising, event planning, etc.; I would also be working with the Treasurer to prepare an annual budget.
Proper Liaison
As the Vice President, I will serve as a liaison to the college administration with any questions, concerns, or suggestions and is a student representative at alumni events and other organizations within COMAHS. I will be regular and punctual in all administrative and academic events throughout the year.
Good Representation
With a good SLEMSA year ahead, we as an association willmake good representation both nationally and internationally. Our good workd will attract local and international partners in area of ealth and other areas of focus. With a revamped technology under my watch, every SLEMSA activity will be made known to the world through digital platforms
