Five months have passed since I turned the lights off and closed the door to my studio for what I thought would have been a couple of weeks. On August 15th, when beauty was 'finally' given the go ahead to open, (after a couple of frustrating false starts) I welcomed back my first few clients and all that worry and stress during lockdown was wiped away in a matter of days of reopening - five days to be exact! Lockdown has made many of us re-evaluate where we find ourselves emotionally, physically and even spiritually. Reconnecting with ourselves has never felt more rewarding. However, what if feeling like the old you just isn’t cutting it anymore? Then you deserve to feel more. You deserve to feel empowered!
It’s no longer just celebrities that steal the limelight for role models. If this time has taught us anything, it’s that mothers, wives and workers etc all deserve to be celebrated and feel worthy on a daily basis. I strongly believe that beauty always has and always will be about empowerment. Being away from our favourite treatments has reminded many of us around the world that there’s a reason it’s called beauty ‘therapy’ because it makes us feel good.
Self care allows you to feel loved and cared for. Our perception of self care plays a huge role in our everyday lives, from decisions we make to thoughts and feelings about ourselves.
