Some of us have come out of lockdown in better health and fitness than before. Some have stayed the same and some fitness levels have taken a plunge. No matter which camp you fall into, this is your opportunity to reset your mind and body back on track regardless of what challenges have been thrown your way over the last few months.
My key message as a health coach and Personal Trainer to those of you eager to rush back to the gym or a home regime; Start at a beginner level.. Yes, even if you were a Cross training, Power lifting, marathon running champion, ease your body back into it.
Did you know, it only takes a measly 2 weeks of inactivity to begin losing that precious fitness we worked so hard for, and the great news is that it takes as little as 4 weeks of consistent training to rebuild it. Over training can result in injuries which can further delay the process, so being patient with yourself and trusting the process is the way forward.
Check out the fun and effective 15 minute Full Body workout I have put together - designed to do from home or to be incorporated into your gym routine. It ranges from beginner to advanced and offers easier alternatives. Do it for 4 weeks and watch your energy and motivation get reset! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a17p3hQVEgg&t=505s
