Slow Year Planner 2019

Page 1

2019 – a year of slow What does slowing down mean? It means paying more attention to ourselves and noticing those small things that make us smile that we often run past so easily. Feeling the taste of a sun-kissed strawberry, seeking shapes in the ruffles of clouds, getting lost in the fragrant mood of tea, sitting and talking till dusk on the hillside as we run our fingers through the grass. With the Slow Year Planner, we are supporting you month by month with inspirational quotes, advice, self-knowledge, and mindfulness exercises that will help you to slow down. Of course, we have not forgotten about the international slow holidays and some playfulness that will help you find and maintain balance.

Enjoy your pleasant slowing down in 2019.

What do you wish for yourself this year?

Be present in the moment Stop rushing and let yourself become immersed in the present moment. Feel the touch of the paper and the pencil in your fingers. Spend the next couple of minutes colouring the picture. Being creative and playing are excellent mindfulness exercises.

INSPIRATION FOR THE MONTH January is the time for big plans and big decisions. We are still tired after the holidays, but we cannot wait to see the changes the New Year brings. This time of the year we often forget that the greatest changes are made in silence, deep within, in ourselves. Every major journey starts from a place of calm, and in order to be able to take the first step we must learn to immerse ourselves in it.

SLOW TIP FOR THE MONTH Make sure to find the time for some quiet contemplation.

A WORD TO THINK ABOUT: QUIET

YOUR CALM RITUAL

Find the thing that is the most helpful for you when it comes to calming your mind. It might be a book in your hands, or some essential oils, or maybe lighting a candle. This little ritual might help you on days when it seems hard to find the calm.

SELF-REFLECTION FOR JANUARY What was your favourite calm moment in January? Where can you find a place for calm in your life? What are you taking with you from this month into the rest of the year?

How are you feeling now?

Colour me.
