Equivalent to one A Level. 95% of universities and colleges in the UK now accept BTECs –including Oxford University (Source: UCAS, Meeting the Needs of Learners, Providers and Universities (2016) Unit 1 and Unit 2 are mandatory and externally assessed by examinations, accounting for 58% of the qualification (25% & 33% respectively)
