Dear Friends Year-end story has always been good for most of the organizations in India but this year end story is not that great. Covid-19 has changed the entire finance condition of the organizations. Many sectors have not yet picked up properly. Sectors like Manufacturing, automotive, tourism, aviation, etc. have not at all picked up for the last one year. Imagine, what a dent happened to the industry. On the other hand, reliance on Make in China products are being shown cold towels by the industry. It means no one is promoting the products openly, so also the government. The mindset of the people against Make-in-China products have been very strong. It means the traders and importers of ICT products are also facing challenges. Government have imposed restriction on many products imported from China and many other countries. This has also impacted the performance of the market. On the other hand, the industry is changing very fast, specially post covid. The pandemic situation has changed the market dynamics so also the requirements. Cloud has changed the enterprises so also the cyber security has. Now the partners need to find out various aspects in the digital transformation so that they can address the cloud and security market. This year end is definitely not very attractive for the partners not for the industry but it has opened up the opportunity for all the thing of the future. In my understanding and experience of dealing with the partners, not many partners are thinking beyond their scope of work and comfort level. The industry is ready for newer solutions at an attractive price but partners are not ready. They are with the same and traditional vendors and partners, which is not right for the growth of the industry. The customer market is ready and opened to ideas and the partners are not quite ready for that. Till date the consulting mode of the partners are not visible. They are trying to play with short terms profitability. However, I would again recommend that partners to become consultants and bring in trust. Be open with ideas and be transparent to their customers. Wish you have a good year.
