PEOPLE OF JAISALMER
As per numerous analysts, "culture" is the primary factor in the arrangement of compositional spaces and plays an important role in social sustainability.
The havelis of Jaisalmer, despite several constraints, are excellent examples of culture and traditions; a house form that represents the architectural responses to the diverse culture; a language of architecture expressed through the way of living, aesthetics, beautiful facades and the rich variations in the elements.

This study investigates the relationship between social, cultural and religious traditions and the architecture of haveli . To understand how organisation of spaces and composition of facade and elements in a haveli reflect culture of the region by case of patwaon ki haveli, Jaisalmer havelis by determining a part model that consists of four parts and is flexible is used. This report analysis the linkages between architectural artifacts selected or devised by a culture, architectural values, social norms and social values.
It also represents a search for answers as to how the cultural traditions of the traditional family, beliefs, values and rituals influence haveli architecture of Jaisalmer and It also aspires to take lessons from the selected spaces in influencing socio-cultural interactions giving rise to recommendations useful for similar socio-cultural domain.
