The exquisite carvings done on sandstone show a stylistic similarity to details in wood carvings. It can probably be due to near visual resemblance of the golden sandstone with wood and an urge of the rich merchants to imitate rich wood carving patterns from facades of Havelis in Gujarat in their own local materials. Golden sandstone to give their works a long lasting identity.
This suggests a major influence of strongly linked culture relating to the art of wood carving.

Jalis ,overhangs and parapet were carved out of yellow stone this showed the equisite detail work , and richness of family and also demarcated the status of
symbol in the area.
Also the jalis were carved at 45 degree angle so as to maintain privacy of women inside the house.
