Founder of The Haus Studio in Dundee and an inspirational L’Oréal Guest Artist, Frazer Wallace shares his 20 favourite things with us.

Career highlight to date? Being nominated for newcomer of the year at the British Hairdressing Awards and being a L’Oréal Guest Artist.

Favourite relaxing thing to do? Read.

Biggest fear you have had to overcome to succeed in your career? Being judged. Putting your work out there is scary. But my only competition is myself. It’s taken me a while to learn that.

A song you will never tire of? Heavy Metal Lover by Lady Gaga.

Favourite food? Pasta, ALWAYS!

Colour, cut or style? Definitely cut

Favourite colouring technique? Toning. Creating tone after lightening is my favourite techniquae. Favourite brand is Dialight by L’Oréal Professionnel Paris.

Why did you become a hairdresser?

I had a feeling I would be good at it — and I was right!

Starter or dessert?

Starter.

Favourite city? Dundee, obviously.

Most treasured possession? My dog. He’s the only thing I own I actively have to keep alive.

Any creative ambitions? To be nominated for British hairdresser of the year or hair icon.

Product you couldn’t live without? Metal Detox. it’s incredible!

Worst hair cut you have ever had? A blue bowl cut — gross!

Celebrity you would most like to meet? I’ve met a fair few, but I would love to meet Meryl Streep.

Favourite hair trend? The 60s Bob.

Best thing about hairdressing? The people you work with and meet. And the freedom of being celebrated for exactly who you are.

Favourite colouring brand? L’Oréal Professionnel Paris

Favourite celebrity hair colour? Lady Gaga’s mint green as seen on the Jonathan Ross Show in 2010.

What inspires you?

Music. It always has. It makes me feel. Certain songs make my mind run at 100 MPH!
