Benefits of Print Media in a Digital Era
W
hile many people may feel that digital media has forced print media into obsolescence, the facts prove that print media has many benefits over digital media.
Secondly, print media is not dependent on technology. With print media, there’s no waiting for an article or picture to download, and there’s no software compatibility or reliability issues. And with print media, readers can avoid the perceived threat of clicking on a link.
First, print media offers a more comfortable reading experience. Print media is touchable and has a physical presence—it can be written on and easily referred back to. And a sense of comfort is derived by the reader from holding and reading through a printed copy.
Other benefits of print media include:
B
ecause print media can linger in offices and homes, it has a much longer life than digital media. This increases exposure of the advertising in it. An ad in a magazine will promote the product for months and even years before someone decides to discard the magazine. In general, magazines have an even longer life than newspapers and may enjoy pass-through readership by being shared with family and friends, thus maximizing advertising dollars spent. Simply put, print media ads can be placed directly in the consumer’s hands time and time again without any additional cost.
•
Since many magazines are well-respected in their field, an advertisement in them will increase a product’s or service’s prestige by association. Print media also allows a particular group of people to be targeted. In addition, advertising campaigns that combine printed direct mail collateral with internet advertising achieve up to a 25% higher response rate than an internet-only campaign. If your publication spans both print and web, you can draw on the strengths of both using, for example, print advertising to drive traffic to your site’s custom job board or sponsored longform web journalism.
Print is a cognitive media. Being a cognitive medium makes it easier to introduce complex issues and topics to readers. Crucial brand information that is usually forgotten now sticks in the reader’s mind. This includes product details, phone numbers, and URLs.

•
Better retention--people tend to better remember what they see than what they hear. More credibility than online sources. Less competition than online ads, yet studies show that 80% of people have never clicked on a banner ad. More predictable and loyal readership. Familiarity with a physical copy allows users to be able to know where crucial information is located. More “real” to the brain.
Thus print produces a higher percentage of brand impact as compared to other forms of media. Once a print media has captured the attention of its audience through vivid pictures, it is then primed to deliver its message, captivating the reader both visually and cognitively. Simply put, printed media--especially ads--performs better than electronic media, and helps to lend credibility and awareness of your brand. In essence, print media--whether promotional or editorial in nature-has its boon in its tangibility, high level of engagement and superior brand recognition that the web simply doesn’t.

N O I FASH YOU SHOULD S E L NEVER BREAK RU AND THE ONES YOU SHOULD
When it comes to dressing, there are more rules to break than to follow. Some fashion rules are old and outdated, but there a few ones that we should definitely never break. Fashion is supposed to be fun, so trying new trends and wearing clothes in nontraditional ways is always recommended. However, sometimes there’s a good reason fashion rules exist. There are a few guidelines that help us look and feel better without restricting our personal style.
FOLLOW: Don’t reveal too much at once It’s not a bad thing to show off parts of your body you’re proud of when the occasion calls for it, but there should always be a balance. If you want to flaunt your legs in a mini skirt, keep your arms and cleavage covered. If you choose to wear a plunging neckline to accentuate your cleavage, pair it with a midi skirt or floor-grazing trousers. In other words, don’t show off everything at once.
for fall happens to be white shoes. White ankle boots, pointed mules, cool sneakers, and any other white variation are going to be on the feet of every fashion girl.
BREAK: Don’t wear white after Labor Day Nothing rings more false than the old rule about not wearing white after Labor Day, so don’t be shy! Mix different shades of white and off white for the perfect day to night look. By all means, one of the biggest trends
FOLLOW: Feel comfortable in your outfit Yes, we should all be trying out new trends, but attempting to pull of something you don’t feel comfortable in simply isn’t smart. You always need to feel confident on how BREAK: Don’t go monochromatic This rule is one of the latest cool-girl trends. you look, so why force yourself?
32 | socialifeweb.com
FOLLOW: Ensure a proper fit Avoid pieces that don’t properly fit, no matter how cool they are. Every piece of clothing you own should skim the body and never suction at any area. If it’s too tight, go up a size. Believe me it will be a lot more flattering and comfortable. The same goes if you can’t sit properly in a mini skirt, it’s a sign it’s too short. If you’re constantly fighting to pull it down, chances are it’s not quite wearable.
There is a defined idea going around that in order to create an interesting outfit, you need to have a lot going on in your look, but that is completely false. For whatever reason, our brains naturally tell us to avoid pairing pieces together of the same color, that anything other than a palette of multiple colors is somehow not as interesting. From black to blush, red to denim on denim, you can definitely make a bold statement while rocking a monochromatic look.

P
eople base themselves too much on exercise to lose weight. They do 2-3 hours cardio; get on intense regiments of exercise, or kill
themselves working out because they believe they burn more doing so. That’s partially true. Yes, you do burn calories in high intense exercise but not as much as people want to burn. See the more exercise you do, the more food you’ll require to replenish what you have used. Now what type of food you use makes the difference in the world. You’re going to have to change your perspective about exercising if you’re trying to get lean or lose weight. See it as not to burn calories but as a reason to eat more BUT...The right type of foods. If you do a good workout where you feel good and not kill yourself then eat the right foods after you will see more results. Compared to doing something where you’re killing yourself, making you so hungry that you just rather go get some fast food than eat clean. Do as much exercise as you like but eat food that makes your body into a fat burning machine. You can exercise all you want but if you don’t give your body the right foods you will look the same as you did when you first started. Anybody would get discouraged with that type of result. If you interested in learning more you can you can
