Welcome... We l c o m e t o t h i s a t h l e t i c s e a s o n a t Ti f f i n U n i v e r s i t y. I invite you to watch and cheer for all of our women’s and men’s teams. Intercollegiate athletics play an important role at Tiffin University. The students who participate develop life-long friendships and learn leadership and teamwork skills, how to set goals and work hard to achieve those goals, how to deal with adversity, the importance of persistence, sportsmanship, and physical fitness, and other skills and abilities that contribute to satisfying and productive lives and careers. Our athletic program also provides visibility and name recognition for TU, helps develop a sense of excitement, morale and school spirit on campus, and provides opportunities for students, employees, alumni, and supporters to unite behind a common goal. We are especially proud of the high standards of conduct displayed by our coaches and players on and off the field. Paul Marion, Ph. D. President
At Tiffin University, our students endeavour to excel in both the classroom and tthe athletic arena. Our athletic programs have enjoyed tremendous success in recent yyears with conference championships, teams being nationally ranked and challenging aat national tournaments. There have been numerous individual accolades including All-Americans, and it is no small accomplishment that in the past few years we have A sset new standards of excellence with our individual and team academic achievements. We expect our student-athletes to be just as successful in the classroom. A recent self study conducted by the university indicated that, of all the aathletes who completed their eligibility at Tiffin University in the last ffive years, 95% of those athletes graduated. While many colleges would bbe ecstatic with these results, we will never be content until it is 100%. We are proud of our rich history and look forward to setting new milestones as we enter the NCAA Division II playing field and the highly competitive Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. We are proud of our athletes and what they have accomplished. They have been the force behind the winning tradition that has been established, and I am confident the future will also be highly successful for Tiffin University athletics. - Lonny Allen Athletic Director

Tiffin is a place where the work ethic of the American heartland is evident and where there is truly value added for students. Tiffin will continue to provide access and opportunity for individuals and facilitate their preparation for successful careers and for productive and satisfying lives. Tiffin University continues to represent a new kind of institution in America, the professional university, where the career objectives of traditional collegeage students and adult students are optimized through professionally-focused undergraduate and graduate programs that have a broad general education foundation. This fundamental institutional strategy is the vision for Tiffin University’s future. Visit our website www.tiffin.edu for information on our majors, faculty, athletics, student life programs and much more. Wrestling Practice Facility On Thursday, October 18, 2012, Tiffin University proudly hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for a brand new wrestling facility located just west of the Heminger Center on Miami Street. The facility will serve as a "wrestling home" for the 48-man team and will help build the family environment that the young program has been developing. Intercollegiate matches will continue to be held in the Gillmor Student Center on the main campus of Tiffin University. The new facility includes eight showers, a laundry room, a locker room, a strength/conditioning room, offices, and a large space for wrestling practice with wall-to-wall mats. There are also areas designated for wrestlers to study before or after practice if they wish. Head Coach Joey Simcoe is in his second full season with Tiffin and is incredibly excited about this addition to campus. "It is a great time to be a Dragon and this facility means everything to the program. The student-athletes now have every resource to be successful and we have a place that we can proudly call home. This is a wonderful recruiting tool and puts Tiffin on a whole new level. We are all about family and sticking together and with this great facility, we can all practice at the same time and that is important." According to TU President Paul Marion, "We are proud of our athletic program and the new wrestling practice facility is a great addition and should help our team be competitive in Division II of the NCAA." "This facility is a welcome addition to our campus and will be a significant asset to our wrestling program as they grow in stature in the region," said Athletic Director Lonny Allen. "It shows the continuing commitment of President Marion and the TU administration to provide our student-athletes with exactly what they need to grow both in the classroom and athletically."
