On the island of Marstrand there’s a five-kilometre trail that takes you around the whole island. Don’t miss the famous Nålsögat (Eye of the Needle) – a very slim passage between two rock walls. If you make it through, you’ll soon be greeted by the beautiful Skallens lighthouse. WORLD CLASS SAILING Marstrand is Sweden’s big little sailing capital and lots of exciting world-class sailing events take place here all year around. The island cliffs are the perfect arena stand, bring your picnic and enjoy the thrilling events close-up – salty splashes guaranteed! CARLSTENS FORTRESS The over 300-year-old centerpiece of Marstrand is an exciting experience for all ages. Explore the dungeons and the famous walk Suckarnas gång (the Walk of Sighs), enjoy freshly made waffles at Våffelcaféet and stay over at the unique Soldathotellet. A sleepover inside the walls of a fortress? Perhaps one of the most exciting things you can do this summer! SEASIDE ADVENTURES On Marstrands brygghus on Koön you can rent boats, a stand-up paddling boards and kayaks – everything you need for an exciting day by the sea. In the same location you’ll also find Marstrands Sportfiske, a shop with all the equipment you can possibly need for a successful fishing trip. The less adventurous can enjoy some crab fishing or maybe a swim in the sea from the 8 lovely jetty.
