ÿþýüûúùøý÷ûþ The purpose of these papers is to highlight four geographically distinct parts of Dundee. They detail the historical development of different parts of the city. The transition of these areas demonstrates how man continually changes the built environment. These changes can often be linked to economic or social influences, and can be quite dramatic. The role of the physical town planner can be viewed as a positive intervention, which, through the town planning process considers a wide range of views and opinions. These can range from political input, in the form of local councillors and local communities to amenity bodies. It is hoped that these papers will be of interest to those students who are keen to pursue a career within the town planning profession. Go Go Go Go Go
