The following policies are specific to my design proposal for the given site:
ONE WAY
Figure 19: Proposed Road Layout
VEHICLES MUST NOW ACECESS OVERGATE CARPARK VIA BARRACK STREET, WITH AN ALTERNATIVE OPTION VIA SOUTH WARD ROAD TO ALLEVIATE TRAFFIC.
VEHICLES CAN LEAVE CAR PARK USING BANK STREET OR BARRACK STREET .
TWO WAY FLOW ON BARRACK STREET IS RESTRICTED TO CAR PARK
Policy 5, Tourism & Leisure Developments: major leisure uses should be SOUTH WARD ROAD
directed firstly towards the city centre Policy 7, High Quality Design: “sustainable economic growth & high quality places.” Policy 36, Open Space: “A presumption that new development should contribute to the enhancement and connectivity of space.”

CONCLUSION
enhance the character of the area.”
In conclusion, the site has undergone a detailed site analysis: potential problems have been identified and design responses have been explored. Relevant case studies and policies have been considered and two suitable proposals have been suggested for the given site. The more viable option has then been illustrated as a master plan with a suitable design strategy, which will allow for the regeneration to enhance the area and Dundee as a whole.
Policy 54, Active Travel: Developments should strive to integrate provisions for walking & cycling through design.
Integrate restaurants and leisure facilities
