This abandoned railroad just south of the Chicago Stockyards has the potential to become what the 606 Trail is for the north side - but it has not gotten the same level of attention. The Back of the Yards neighborhood is an area rich with culture and is vital to the history of Chicago, which the 49th street railroad could help celebrate. This is my personal documentation of the current condition of the railroad, both from street level and track level.
