New rather than somewhere else because they know they will be celebrated, treated with personal attention, and find exactly what they want for their big day.

“My experience at Something New was amazing,” bride Christy says. “As soon as my mom and I walked in the door, they had smiling faces and were completely engaging. My consultant was wonderful and made me feel like I was the only one there. I was from out-of-state, like completely across the country, and she didn’t even flinch. When I initially tried on “my dress,” but felt I needed some time to mull in over, there was absolutely no pressure! As soon as I walked back in their doors to officially make it real, they were so excited for me. All the staff members were amazing; they worked as a team helping each other when one of them had questions. I even heard one of them say, ‘I wear my Apple Watch so when one of my brides has a question, they text me and I can get right back to them.’ Amazing customer service in my mind! Thank you for making this such a great experience!”

This season, Something New’s exclusive in-house line, the Brooklyn Grace Collection, features brand new styles and fresh looks that were hand-picked by Mindi and the team. Curated by Mindi, the Brooklyn Grace collection was inspired by the birth of her daughter, Brooklyn Grace Linscombe, born after three boys.

As a recently engaged bride, the home to Colorado’s greatest bridal experience invites you to make an appointment where you can see what brides from all over are raving about: the brand new 10,000 square foot building, elegant lighting, the personal bridal suites and stylists, and a truly celebratory shopping experience that puts the bride first.

“Over the years, I have gleaned tremendous insight into what brides really want by going through a process of alterations and sketching gowns side by side with brides,” says Mindi. “I have used that knowledge to create this amazing collection of gowns that I would love for my own daughter to wear! This experience has allowed my team and I to put together an incredible collection of designs and styles we love, for ourselves and our own daughters.”

“Throughout the last year, my team and I have been hard at work selecting designs for the 2022 Brooklyn Grace Collection,” continues Mindi. “I know you’ll love it as much as we do. The designs are gorgeous, and the dresses are high-quality. I have worked hard to put my own unique touches on every single style.”

In addition to being a hand-selected private collection, a portion of the proceeds from each dress sold from the

Compassion International aims to positively impact long-term development of children living in poverty through child sponsorship and humanitarian aid. Don’t just take our word for it. Consider what recent bride Rosilynn Willardson said about her experience at our “Whenstore.Iwalked

You’re Afraid You Won’t Be A Priority With Our Consultants41 Reasons Why You May Choose A Less Expensive Bridal Store

Given that our store is one of the largest and most highly recommended bridal salons in Colorado, you might think that you’ll fall through the cracks or be just a number because we work with so many brides. Many brides think they can get a better selection from a large box retailer or a more personalized service from a smaller, less successful boutique.

The reality is that you can have both! At Something New, our goal is to celebrate you and help you find your wedding dress from the literal hundreds of options we have in all sizes with our fun and easy bridal experience. You’ve already got so much going on with your wedding planning that another standard appointment and more hassle isn’t what you’re looking for.

into your store, I didn’t think I’d find anything,” Rosilynn said. “I am very picky, and I wanted something simple but elegant. I had been to many other stores and found things that came close but weren’t “The Dress.” My stylist was extremely nice and quick even though she was with another bride that day. After a few, though, I became discouraged, but my ever-cheerful stylist said there was one last dress she knew I’d love. I tried it on, and as soon as I stepped in front of the mirror, I knew it was “The Dress.” It was simple, elegant, and I looked amazing in it. To make it even better, it was under budget! I am so glad I went to your store to get my perfect wedding dress! I can’t wait to wear it on my big day!”

What you need is a personal bridal stylist who is an impeccably focused and trained bridal expert, someone who listens, AND someone who really cares about getting to know your wants and needs regarding what you’ll wear when you say “I do.”

You won’t have to compromise with amazing selection AND personalized service. There’s no need to sacrifice because you’re dealing with one of America’s top bridal retailers, and every highly trained member of our team is focused on giving you the VIP treatment you deserve.

You think that all bridal stores are basically the same, and do basically the same thing

Third,them.

First, any store that cuts prices must also cut and compromise the service and the quality of the overall experience they can provide at their store, and that means less for you in the long run.

If you have already been to another store, and they’ve offered you a big discounted price, here are three cautions you’ll want to keep in mind:

You’ve Heard From A Friend That A Certain Store Gives Crazy Discounts And Deals To Brides If You Ask Them

We hope after reviewing this magazine and discovering all of the differences about our store, that you’ll understand how untrue that statement really Certainly,is.

our entire approach on selling wedding gowns to attract brides who have a profound preference for “the best,” -- for having the most respected, qualified, and capable professionals handle every detail in preparation for their wedding. These same individuals are the brides, who if they have a medical need, they seek out the best doctor, not just any doctor. If this describes you, then you know very well that all bridal stores simply cannot be the same. So, for the most important gown you may ever wear, we invite you to seek out and choose the most experienced and successful team of bridal stylists you can.

Second, any store that cuts their prices reveals a mindset about how they sell. It suggests that they will be quickly and easily willing to reduce the other benefits you may get when you buy your dress from

all bridal stores sell wedding dresses in the same broad, general sense. But this is like saying all doctors and hospitals do basically the same things. However, there are certain hospitals with a much higher success rate with heart operations than other hospitals. There are doctors whom affluent, knowledgeable patients travel great distances to see, and there are doctors who struggle to get enough patients to barely make out a living in their

We certainly understand the temptation to give business to a friend or to another store you may have already been to, especially if that store has offered to cut their price to give you a deal. To be blunt, there’s no point in wasting your time or ours attempting to negotiate prices -- we don’t discount the price of our dresses.

any bridal store that is discounting their prices significantly must really need the business, and that may tell you something about how happy his or her brides really are and the small number of individuals who refer their friends and family to come to their store and buy from them. At our store, over 75% of all brides who buy from us are the direct result of an invitation or referral from a friend or family member.

With these things in mind, you should very thoroughly question any bridal store about their experience, how many referrals they get, and how varied the prices are between what is priced and what is actually sold.

Your wedding gown isn’t just any dress. It is probably the most important formal gown you will ever wear. It is a significant purchase, and you don’t want to be pushed into it or settle for something simply because of an over-promising retailer who just can’t deliver on what they’re selling. Please don’t make this mistake.

Given these four reasons you are now probably considering, we hope that you’ll schedule an appointment with one of our caring and expert bridal stylists to help you find your dress.

A preference for working with the most professional experts in the industry

Planning a wedding is no joke! We were so blessed to have the support of our parents, friends, other family in order to pull off the day. My cousin blessed us by being our videographer along with our family friends taking our pictures. We had friends helping my coordinator with the decor at our church and venue as well. It really does take a village and it was such a blessing to have the support of everyone we love.

My mom is truly my everything and has always supported me. She did so much behind the scenes to make sure I had the best day ever! She walked me down the aisle and was the one to give me away. My dress reveal to my girls was so worth the wait! I had written letters to them to read as I was getting ready to come out which made it that much more emotional (the tears just kept flowing) After, my ma led us in prayer together and we enjoyed the last moments before I became a wife. I look back on those photos constantly and I will cherish those moments forever

Coming into Something New, I was certain I would find my dress no problem. I had tried on 3 dresses and was already in love. Kristi was the BEST bride stylist and had brought out a dress that hadn’t even hit the floor yet. She told me that no one had tried it on and that the other bridal stylists in the store hadn’t seen it on either. I honestly felt so cool in this moment knowing that no one had tried this dress on. It was THE dress, MY dress. I fell in love instantly with how different it was and all the little details in between.

It’s hard to describe just how great Caitlin from Caitlin Alysse Photography is, but I think her work speaks for itself. We felt that it was incredibly important to find someone who was a storyteller, someone whose work jumped off the screen and captured the little candid moments. After all, this person is capturing a day that goes by in a blink of an eye, and we all want to have beautiful memories to look back on! She made everything feel natural and organic, and we cannot thank her enough for her wonderful work.

MY HUSBAND

I feel like it is incredibly cliche of me to even put Tyler on this list because I’m sure most people would think, “Well, OF COURSE you love your husband!” Cliche or not, he deserves acknowledgment iin this instance, not only because he is my chosen person, but because he was a huge asset in planning our wedding. It was so reassuring to know that I had such a patient partner who was willing to help make all of the decisions as a team. Tyler makes it easy for me to believe in him, in us. Easiest yes of my life!

THE DRESS

If I had to do the wedding all over again, I would choose The Broadmoor every time. The ceremony and reception was at the Fish House, a small cabin-like structure on the grounds of their golf course. It has incredible views of the mountains, a beautiful lake, and a picturesque willow tree that all provided a stunning backdrop for the day. From the initial planning meeting, to the food, to the staff, to every small detail, The Broadmoor and our coordinator Katie (thank you, Katie and team!) truly outdid themselves for our special day.

3

I feel incredibly lucky that I found “the one” when I went to Something New. They made the whole process very easy, were very attentive to my requests, and truly created a wonderful experience for my mom and I. They never pushed me into trying anything I didn’t want, and they never pressured me into purchasing anything. The day of the wedding, when everything came together, I had the “THIS IS IT” moment. I knew looking in the mirror that I was right in following my gut because what I was looking at was exactly what I had pictured in my mind when I thought of how I wanted to look on my wedding day.

14

Tyler and I desperately wanted to keep the guest list to just our close family so that we could be present with them during all of the festivities. They came from all over the country to help us celebrate, and we will forever be grateful to them for making the trip. Getting ready with my mom and walking down the aisle with my dad are memories that I will never forget.

2

I mean..... There aren’t really words to describe the feeling of being in a dress that makes you feel as confident as I did that day. I can’t thank Mindi and the team enough for everything they did to make sure I wore my DREAM dress: The JoJo!!

As a healthcare worker, being safe over the last 2 years for not only myself and my loved ones but the amazing humans I work with was a high priority. Unfortunately, that meant our engagement and celebrations up to the wedding were minimal. Being able to celebrate with our loved ones and seeing people we hadn’t seen in almost 2 years was amazing! It made our wedding that much more special.

3

“That was the most fun wedding I’ve ever been to” -- hearing those words from wedding guests made all the planning worth it. We definitely had a more laid-back vibe, i.e. food trucks instead of a sit down dinner via the amazing Bowls by KO and BP Provisions, a donut wall with gluten-free and vegan options (obviously) from Deby’s gluten-free bakery instead of cake, a Spotify playlist filled with songs that we love instead of a traditional DJ or band, and the ambiance of Great Divide Brewery barrel bar allowed people to REALLY let their hair down. Thanks to Tim and his amazing team Adventures and Weddings, we get to relive it all with the best wedding video and photos I could have hoped for.

4

SAYING OUR VOWS IN FRONT OF EVERYONE Tyler and I decided to write our own vows. Out of all the memories from that day, this was the most magical. Standing in front of my best friend and being able to verbalize my love for him... to make real promises to him was so special.

GETTING MARRIED WHERE WE GOT ENGAGED

On July 20, 2020 while on a sunset hike in Genesee park (which is a place we frequent to watch the sunset as it’s only 20 minutes from our home), the love of my life got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. 14 months later on September 25, 2021, we made promises in front of all our loved ones. Promises to love, support, and cheer each other on for the rest of our lives.

My dad and I are very close, and we are both huge softies, so we were worried about doing a slow, emotional song for our dance together and not being able to pull ourselves together. So we danced to “Just the Two of Us” by Will Smith and it was perfect. At the end of the dance, we had it change to “It Takes Two” by Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock, and we had such a blast dancing together to that. I will never forget that special moment.

MY AMAZING VENDOR TEAM

Melissa Brielle Photography

There wouldn’t have been a wedding if it hadn’t been for him! Through the entire planning process and day of the wedding, he remained my rock. As someone who works in the wedding industry, I have a lot of opinions on what I like and don’t like in a wedding, and he was incredibly understanding of that and trusted my recommendations. He truly wanted me to have the wedding I always dreamed of and went above and beyond in so many ways to make that happen.

On the morning of the wedding, we both exchanged letters and a gift to one another and read them aloud while we were getting ready. It was so special to take a moment during all of the busy preparations to read his sweet words and be reminded of the true meaning of the day. We both still have the letters that the other person wrote, and I take it out to read it from time to time. It is such a sweet reminder of the day and the love we share.

FINALLY GETTING TO HAVE OUR WEDDING CELEBRATION

I worked with an absolutely amazing group of vendors, and I can never thank them enough for all they did for us. From the amazing experience of getting to be the first bride to find her dress in the new Something New store when it opened in 2020, to having dear friends as our photographer, videographer, and planner/florist who all absolutely blew my expectations, to the most delicious food from a special caterer friend, to our amazing DJ who even let me take to the DJ booth during the reception. The reception decor was everything I dreamed of and more! It was such a dream to work with all of them and I am so grateful to know them and to have had the honor of their presence at our wedding.

We originally had our wedding planned for October of 2020, but like many others, we had to reschedule it. We decided to get married anyway in 2020, but we were not able to have all of our friends and family present, so it was so special to finally have everyone come together on our one year anniversary to see us renew our vows for the ceremony and to participate in all of the special wedding traditions that we didn’t get to do the first time.

Accessories put the finishing touches on your whole wedding day look. You may choose to have the men in your wedding wear neither a vest nore cummerbund if you are going for a more casual look.

THE TROUSERS

The trousers for the tuxedo jacket will be determined somewhat by the jacket you’ve selected. In general, the same style and color trousers should be worn throughout the men in the wedding party.

Pocket Squares are a great way to add a splash of color to your tux jacket. Many people match the pocket square with the tie they have chosen.

Choosing the right fit for the right body type is so important. Most men nowadays opt for the slim-fit tuxedo for a more modern and tailored look. The Traditional fit is more boxy, and then the Ultra Slim fit is the most trendy.

The Jacket a very important piece to your tuxedo look. The build of the groom and wedding party should be one major factor on which you base your decision.

SHOES

Shoes should be the last thing you pick out. You should only pick shoes that match once you have the rest of the tux all figured out.

Wear long dress socks to avoid showing any skin when you sit. A lot of men these days choose the socks to express their unique style and personality with different patterns and colors.

LAPEL

Shirts provide another opportunity to add character to your wedding day attire. The basic color for shirts are white and ivory, which should be based off the brides wedding dress. Microfiber material is the latest most popular material today providing a very smooth texture and feel and often many color options. The sleeve should be a little longer than your jacket to allow a little sliver of the shirt and cuff links to show.

Style. Color. Formality

ACCESSORIES

Ties come in many different styles, patterns, and colors. Bow ties are typically more classic and formal and are often a solid color. The windsor tie has become increasingly popular in recent years. Typically, the groom’s tie will match the color of the bridal gown, while the groomsmen’s will match the bridesmaids’ dresses.

Peak lapel is most common and traditional. While the Notch Lapel is most popular, most rentals have this. The Shawl Lapel is very traditional but not the best choice for rounder bodies.

Cuff links and Studs give your shirt a very polished look. The style of your wedding should be kept in mind when picking out all accessories.
