Materials • Pierrot Yarns Summer Slub [50% cotton, 50% linen; 306 yds/280m per 3.53 oz./100g cone]; color #868 light purple; 4 cones [400g] • 3.5mm (US E) crochet hook or size necessary to achieve gauge • 1 pair purse handles (approx. 38cm/14.96" long)
Gauge Gauge measured in a swatch 10cm/4" square. • single crochet (US): 17 sts and 20 rows • pattern stitch: 17 sts and 12.5 rows
Finished measurements • width 32cm/12.60" • depth 22.5cm/8.86"
Crochet Tips Bottom: Cast on, working first row in bottom loops of chain. Work in single crochet (US), increasing as indicated. Sides: Continuing on from bottom and still working in the round, work pattern stitch and then single crochet (US). Finishing: Wrap yarn around end of handles and sew to side of bag with whipstitch. Note: entire bag worked with two strands of yarn held together.
