Materials: Red shawl: 115 gm/4 oz skein (440 m/480 yds) Riverside Studio fingering merino singles (shawl used 99 gm) - finished size: 55" x 25" Green shawl: 115 gm/4oz skein (378 m/413 yds) Riverside Studio fingering BFL (shawl used 95 gm) - finished size: 50" x 23" 4.0 or 4.5 mm circular needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
Gauge: 17 stitches, 27 rows over 4" in stockinette stitch after blocking; in lace pattern width-wise across two of the larger diamonds (for example measuring from stitch 12 to stitch 29) equals 5 inches and length-wise across two of the smaller diamonds (for example measuring from row 13 to row 41) equals 4.5". Gauge is not crucial, but it will change the amount of yarn you need. Please note that Riverside Studio skeins are 115 gm/4 oz, if you use a 100 gm/3.5 oz skein of fingering yarn, it might be advisable to work less repeats of the edging since I came very close to using 100 gm for both shawls. Pattern: Instructions are included for both the red and green shawls, lace pattern is charted, with a right and left side (right/left side refers to how the work faces you and not how you would wear it). Red (full lace) work as directed. Set-up rows: CO 5 stitches. R1: knit R2: knit Designed with Intwined Pattern Studio (intwinedstudio.com)
