Summer Vest I wanted to make a nice open lightweight vest but I never quite found the pattern I was looking for. This pattern was inspired by raverly member Pooki and her remake of the Coachella pattern by Fathom Harvill. Materials: Needle- US 7 - 4.5 mm (I worked back and fourth on 20� circulars being careful not to join in the round) Yarn- Knit Picks CotLin, 3 skeins (370 yards), Pistachio – 24839 Three Stitch holders, tapestry needle Pattern: -Cast on 55 sts -Knit in Stockinette increasing 1 stitch on both sides on every knit row until total 65 sts. Divide Stitches 27, 11, 27. Place the sides on holders. -Knit middle back part. 12 rows stockinette. Row 13: K1 m1, K until last 1, ml, k1 Row 14: Purl Row 15: Knit Row 16: Purl Repeat Row 13-16 Two more times (Three Total) 17 Stitches Row 17: k1, ml, k until last 1, ml , kl Row 18: Purl Repeat Row 17 and 18 Ten more times (39 stitches total) Place on holder. -Now work each side separately. Row 1: K, m1, K to end (Side 2 K until last 1, m1, k) Make sure you are always m1 on the outside to form the outer edge) Row 2: Purl Repeat Row 1 and 2 22 more times (46 rows total) Each side will have 50 stitches) Join all stitches on circular needle. (139 stitches total)
Row 1: Knit 1, ml, knit 49, Cast on 4, Knit 39, Cast on 4, Knit 49, ml, K Row 2: Purl Row 3 k1, ml, knit until last 1, m1, k1 Row 4 purl Repeat Row 3 and 4 until desired length Bind Off Loosely. Block and Wear.
