Tarriona "Tank" Ball of Tank and the Bangas is our PINK Diamonds Beauty of the Month of April 2023! Tank and the Bangas is an American musical group with combination of Spoken Word, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop and Rock based in New Orleans, Louisiana. The band won the 2017 NPR Tiny Desk Contest and in November 2019, they were nominated in the Best New Artist category for the 2020 Grammy Awards They have released three studio albums, Thinktank, Green Balloon, and Red Balloon.

Tarriona "Tank" Ball has collaborated with acts like Mikey Hart, Norah Jones, Tayla Parx, and Jacob Collier to name a few. She's also had the opportunity to her stunning vocals to Can You Ever Forgive Me? (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) on the track "I'll Be Seeing You "

Happy Poetry Month, PINK Diamonds!! It is April 2023! This is the month to celebrate poets and spoken word artists !! I am a lyric poet which means I create, empower, inspire, and encourage the world with my lyric poems through song. It is an honor to write and sing from my heart I have been inspired by many poets such as Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Emily Dickerson, Nikki Giovanni, and so many more

I remember when I was in school I used to be bored with class but it wasn't until we learned poetry that I perked up and paid attention We were taught to write so many different poems such as Haikus, Lyrics, Pose, and so many others I love words and I would get lost in words I look forward to this month every year because I feel inspired to create new poems and songs LOL! I want to encourage you to write a poem it doesn't matter if it rhymes just as long as it comes from your heart and makes you smile then do it

Ms. Achievement Barbados 2023

I am elated to share that I am the Inaugural Ms. Achievement Barbados 2023 and I will compete in July 2023 for Ms. Achievement World 2023 virtually. My platform is The Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) music society with a mission to preserve Black music culture one record at a time. I decided to compete in this pageant because I am on a heritage journey of my Bajan roots My Great-grandmother Mrs Adelaide Barker Melrose came to America via Ellis Island in the early 1900s. I grew up around my Nana but I never asked her about Barbados as a child. I wish that I had asked her questions about her homeland. I am so excited to announce this year marks my 10th Anniversary of producing my loving tribute to the Legendary Songtress Phyllis Hyman that has been supported by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and Former First Lady

Chirlane McCray, The Hyman Family, The Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society and Friends of Phyllis Hyman! We have partnered with The Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society to produce a soundtrack album and documentary to be released in 2024! I am so excited to have completed my 12th podcast season on Anchor.FM in 2022 after a year of being on hiatus. I took a year off because I was in the mist of studying for my Executive MBA at PVAMU I moved the show to Anchor fm and the dynamic is a bit different I truly enjoyed pre-recording my shows I am happy that it was recently added on Amazon Music and iHeartradio! This is the month for you to write a love poem Have you ever wanted to express to someone you love and just could not find the right card or song to express it? This is Poetry Month and I want to challenge you to write from your heart about how many ways you love your significant other. It doesn't matter if it rhymes or not. What matters is you express your feelings from the purest place in your heart to the one you love. Do not let the fear of it sounding corny or unpolished. Sometimes love is corny and unpolished LOL! You can write for yourself and never let another soul read it But write your love down in a poem You may surprise yourself and actually may enjoy writing poems. You might even share it with someone and bless them in a mighty way. I know you can do it. I believe in you. Happy writing! Every month I will spotlight my top five books or ebooks that I recommend to add to your bookshelves It's important to read and gain wisdom and knowledge We need to get back to reading books again Reading online is great and it is definitely best when you are traveling But there is nothing like opening a new book and reading the new pages Something about both

a new book smell and feel of the pages as well as a vintage book that has yellow pages, faded and full of character from years of people holding and reading the pages The five books I want to recommend this month are Paris The Memoir by Paris Hilton, Act Like You Got Some Sense by Jaime Foxx, Walking in My Joy in These Streets by Jenifer Lewis, Born a Crime by Trevor Noah and Hustle Harder by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson

But this month I am actually trying Audible and listening to all of these books I will keep you posted!

I have been up and down with my weight management my entire life. This year I am determined to get back down to my college size of 10-12. I started using Myfitnesspal.com and I want to encourage you all to try using an app or program to track all that you eat, drink and your daily exercise

PINK Diamonds Dream is a mentoring and coaching firm for creatives. I remember when I was younger I really wanted a mentor or a coach to help me with my aspirations to become a singer and fashion model. Although I studied Fashion Merchandising and Design during undergrad and I worked with many musicians as well as fashion designers I really wished I had a mentor to help guide me at the beginning of my career.

I have been very blessed to help the career of musicians, beauty queens, and models over the last 30 years. It is my way of giving back to my younger self by helping young people in Houston and New York City pursue their dreams in the arts in excellence.
