All animals play Hide and Seek
The concept for this project was Hide and Seek. I compared the company’s mission to the “Hide and NAT GEO LOGO
Seek” play. National Geographic Society funds more than 300 research, conservation, and exploration projects.Company’s mission is all about exploring and understanding our human story, critical species, and our living planet. I compared the nature as the “hiding object” and
WOOD BEAM CEILING
National Geographic as the “seeking company,” looking for the beautiful aspects of nature. National Geographic have been taken a role as an educational company by continuously discovering the unknown aspects of nature.
EXHIBITION 1 & 2
Development sketch of ceiling structure
Ceiling structure was inspired by the illustration of the “Elephant Hat” from The Little Prince. The silhouette of the “Elephant Hat” was combined with the rectangular yellow line of the National Geographic logo which conveys the overall concept of “Hide and Seek” and the identity of the company.

CHAOTIC MODERN PICNIC ENVIRONMENT
w of Cafe
ROMANTIC CHAOS The concept of this space was “Romantic Chaos.” The client wanted this space to be classic, modern and place that shows his “farm to table” concept. To achieve his goal for this area, I imagined the photography of picnic space with having outdoor string lighting all over the wooden picnic table. But to take this idea into a modern design, I added the destruction concept to the picnic scene. I imagined shadow as the destructive method for the flooring and added ceiling mesh as a destructive method for the ceiling.I believed that the word “Romantic” would lead the design to look classic, and the word “Chaos” would lead the design into modern space. I believed the chaotic scene could look romantic when you stop and stare at the chaotic moment. The purpose of design for this space was to create the modern version of the traditional picnic space.

To become a grid, the grid has to be made in a combination of plenty number of squares.By using the grid, we can create a limitless number of letters and shapes.Like this, when each worker collaborates and supports each other, they can create a dynamic and beautiful market.

of things or of a place
We can think of luxury as clean, neat and well-organized environment but I believed beyond luxury would be creating a mess with luxury elements. Christian Louboutin shoes are one of the most expensive and luxury shoes in the world. Throughout the space, I created the message that “when you are wearing Louboutin shoes, you leave a visible red trace on the floor. Destruction is one of the popular trends in design now, and I thought creating a mess with Louboutin elements would make this space into modern design.
THERE’S ONLY LEOPARD. RED VELVET CARPET, SILHOUETTE MIRROR, LIGHTING SCULPTURE, ALL CREATED AS LEOPARD
Heel +sole? Louboutin shoes are famous for the red sole and high heels.Column lighting is structured in a shape of the heel and organic shaped dropped ceiling was created in the shape of the red sole of the Christian Louboutin shoes.
Footprints? Floor graphic is one of the popular design trends. To help the circulation for this shopping space, I used animal’s red colored footprints.
Animals? To display the shoe designs of Louboutin, I separated each space by using the different animals. The reason was to create the message that,“We all have different characteristic, but we all leave the trace of the red footprints when we are wearing Louboutin shoes”.I related this message to the different characteristic of animals.

Rain, Wind The goal for this space was to create sustainable residential space. For the concept, I interpreted the sustainability idea in a playful way by choosing the concept as rain, wind which goes into the category of sustainable energy. For the architecture, I was inspired by the photography of women wearing a scarf in the wind, covering her face and shows only the silhouette of the women.Throughout the interior, I applied the concept of wind and rain.
