Branding
Logo / Self Portrait
Creative CV
Postcard
I aimed to keep a consistent visual theme throughout my branding. The best representation of myself and my my practice is my lino print work and so I decided to make this a main feature throughout. My logo design is something that I hope people will come to recognise as being my identity. It features on the homepage of my website as well as on the back of the business cards and creative CV. The Cv itself features a border from one of my greek mythology designs - a design which is also included in my business cards. A simple and direct way to communicate to future employees my skills and aspirations.
My self portrait has also been a key part of my visual identity. Featuring on my website, I think that it could be an effective tool is getting people to remember me. I think it links well with the logo and the two work coherently together by embodying the nature theme. I am still unsure if their is going to be a permanent use for both designs or if I will work on simplifying the branding and honing down on one design - combining elements from the two.
Business Card Mockups For the business cards I chose to feature two prints from my most successful collection of work. I want my business cards to stand out and for my peers and potential employers be able to take away a an illustration that represents some of my best work. I didn't want to give away the whole image so decided to crop a close up from each design which I think works really affectively in this business card format. The small size means that this way you are still able to see the intricate details. I hope that little snippet of my designs intrigues people enough to check out my website and the rest of my portfolio The back will feature my developed logo and direct contact details.
Website
Creative Presence
Overall I am happy with my website and feel that I have achieved the aesthetic and functionality that I wanted. The homepage features a collections of work which showcases my strengths. - heavily focused around print. This may need to be curated to a further extent but currently, I like the layout of my images and feel that I have formed a coherent selection.

I had fun creating the website and tailoring it to my style. This is just a starting point and I am excited about building upon this design over the weeks and months to come after graduation. I would like to include and online store! & add more finished work and prints which I am yet to finalise. There are also various tweaks that need to be made to improve the functionality - but I will address these overtime. In the meantime, my website does a suďŹƒcient job of showcasing my portfolio of work.
One of the features I worked on recently was linking the homepage images to their own section. - this is a useful feature which allows me explain the concept behind an illustration and show more work in that collection. - for example the swallow below. The about me section. - This was inspired by my Manifesto which I had written over a month ago. It’s purpose is to summarise my practice and welcome customers. I wanted it to be informal and friendly! - I would also like to start writing a blog about my journey through discovering print so need to get used to wiring about myself. I think the self portrait works well here - puts a face to a name.
Mailing list - This is a key feature to any website. In the near future I would like to start selling my prints. - through the mailing list I can send out emails so inform customers of prices etc.

The Dots
My online presence is something that until now I have failed to keep up with over the the past few years. With a new visual identity in the bag, I decided to start a fresh this term! although it’s always been daunting for me to promote myself and my work, I have reached a point in my practice where I feel much more self assured and excited to share my portfolio with other creatives.
I didn't want to create so many platforms that I would be overwhelmed - but I have decided to use three main outlets for my work that I am determined to stay on top of. 1) Instagram - This is where I get the most response to my work and has encouraged me to share more. 2) Linked in 3) The Dots
I have kept my visual identity and theme consistent across all platforms so they mirror each other. This will make it easier for people to make links across all outlets and will hopefully make me more recognisable and memorable.
It’s going to be challenging in the industry to build connections so I recognise that it is important now to stay in contact with my peers and professionals from Leeds Arts University.
