The challenge: Since the mid-nineties, TimoCom has been offering a platform for freight exchange, designed to help freight companies make the best use of their cargo capacities. Due to great success of the platform and overall positive feedback of the users of the product, TimoCom has expanded its product range over the years.

In next to no time, TimoCom has become one of the best-known names in the shipping and logistics industry. Since the company is not about to rest on its laurels, it is now planning to provide its customers with a completely redesigned and -developed product range and expand its customer base. In order to achieve this, the company has defined a number of goals to keep these advances on track. Some of the most important goals are: ►► Adding a few very customer-friendly functionalities to the existing product range. ►► Creating an innovative, intuitive graphical user interface ►► Making use of cutting edge technology to ensure the best performance and the highest levels of safety ►► Maximizing the efficiency and contentment of the employees through the use of agile methods during the development process (SCRUM)

Customer benefit: ►► The customer has a comprehensive compilation of the newest ideas and wishes of all stakeholders ►► These ideas have been prioritized to facilitate the planning of the ensuing development activities ►► The customer has detailed requirements for high priority issues, to enable the rapid generation of product backlog items for the individual SCRUM teams

Due to the support SOPHIST offered, the company was able to assemble a pool of requirements representing the innovative ideas and wishes of the users of the system as well as the employees of the firm. This pool of requirements is now the basis for any further development of the products.
